About Us
After many years of painting my own Warhammer 40,000 armies, I opened Pear Tree Commission Painting studio in 2023 so that those who love table top gaming could have high quality painted miniatures too.
In that short time we’ve grown from 40k focused, to undertaking commissions for board game miniatures, collectable items, promotional figures and sentimental ornaments.
Low on time? No space to paint? Can’t afford a full army all at once? Each project commissioned is bespoke to what you need. You bring the idea, I figure out how to make it work.
The joy on my client’s faces when they see their finished pieces is epic.

Our Core Services
We can do any or all of our three core services for your miniatures - Building, Painting and Basing.
Price differences between each service and standard reflect the attention to detail and quality required.

Step 1, we need those miniatures built. Building well is a critical first step to a quality finish.
In this step we will build and deburr. If you want a more customized figure we can also magnetize different components (armour, weapons, accessories).

Step 2, in this step we paint your miniatures to the standard you need, with as much or as little extras as you want.
We offer three standards of painting:
Battle Ready - for standard Games Workshop rules this is three colours and one wash.
Tabletop - Battle Ready standard + one level of basic highlighting.
Style - Tabletop standard + a mixture of dynamic OSL highlighting, airbrush and dry brush techniques, plus stippling and glazing, to maximize the stylist qualities of your miniature.

Step 3, for basing we offer three standards:
Basic - Simple paint finish.
Texture - Textured basing (cork, snow, sand etc) with small features (bones, grasses, terrain).
Custom - Texture standard + Customized milliput features.
Basing is an important part of your commission as a whole. A high level basing scheme will elevate your individual miniature or give maximum impact for army commissions.
